Runnymede is 3 miles along the River Thames from Windsor in the county of Surrey. It's great claim to fame is as the site where King John signed the Magna Carta in 1215. President John F. Kennedy is also commemorated here.

It is an attractive area of riverside meadows, grassland & woodland.

John F. Kennedy Memorial, the British memorial to the assassinated President Kennedy.

The memorial is located on the hillside, in an area of parkland given to the United States by the Queen in 1965.

In the summer months at weekends boats stop by the river at Runnymede to take passengers to Windsor.
