The source of the River Thames today?
Lyd Well

Pooh is now one mile southeast of the historical ‘Thames Head’, the official source of the River Thames.

Pooh has now arrived at Lyd Well, an old Roman Well, which spurts out large volumes of water flooding much of the enclosure surrounding the spring.

The force and clarity of the water emerging from the well is most notable.

There is much more water in the infant river now.
